Heather Orkwis, DO, FAAD

Dr. Orkwis is a specialist in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She has a particular interest in skin care and cosmetics, and is a certified expert injector by Allergan.

She pursued her undergraduate studies at University of Pittsburgh and continued on to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital, Philadelphia and completed her dermatology residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.

Dr. Orkwis is on the consulting staff at Beaumont Hospital in Troy and McLaren Macomb Hospital. She enjoys teaching dermatology residents in the clinical setting.

Dr. Orkwis is the author of many academic publications and presentations and holds an academic staff position at the Michigan State University.

Dr. Orkwis is originally from Pittsburgh. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese languages. She loves fitness, nutrition and staying up to date with all things health & beauty. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family traveling, cooking and being outdoors.
