Vascular conditions are among the most frequently treated cosmetic concerns. No one likes the superficial redness that appears on their face for any reason - rosacea, broken capillaries, spider veins, acne scarring, surgical scars or stretch marks are all vascular conditions that can be dramatically improved with the correct lasers. Some of these conditions can be hereditary, some are related to the environment, diet and alcohol consumption or a host of other issues. The great news is we have the experienced team and laser technology to take care of any and all of these concerns. These non-invasive treatments are performed in the office and sometimes take only a few minutes.
Due to the volume of patients requesting these types of services we offer two devices, which together can cover all dermatologic and cosmetic vascular conditions. Consult with your skincare professional for the best recommendation for your specific vascular concern.
The Pulsed Dye Laser by Candela is the Gold Standard in Vascular Devices. Pulsed Dye Lasers use a specific wavelength of light attracted to the redness in the skin. This work horse laser can correct and improve an array of skin conditions such as; superficial redness, Rosacea, Broken Capillaries/Facial Veins/Spider Veins, Acne/Acne Scarring, Port Wine Stains, Cherry/Spider Angiomas, Surgical Scars, and Stretch Marks.
This laser is part of the Gentle Max Pro device. YAG utilizes a deeper penetrating wavelength of light that focuses on the purple/blue toned targets vs. the more superficial red. Some of the most commonly treated are spider veins on the body, venous lakes on the lip, and stubborn veins on the nose.
Patients may need a series of treatments to achieve optimal results, based on individual skin concerns. Usually one to three treatments are required. Some conditions are chronic and may require maintenance treatments.
After treatment patients may experience a mild sunburn like sensation or minimal bruising as every blood vessel/capillary can respond differently to the laser. Make-up can be applied after this laser treatment to camouflage any minimal bruising that may occur.
Sunscreen should be worn daily.
